Driving trip out east with Grandma and Michael. This was the first year I tried a different tack in scheduling reservations before leaving home. Instead of just searching out inexpensive chain hotel, I looked for fun places in the cities we would be passing through and found a series of very fun hotels. Stayed at a restored old downtown hotel, a country estate-type inn, an off-season ski lodge, etc.
Had a great time anticipating and then enjoying the interesting places we stayed. Great food. Ben N Jerry's. Nuff said.
